According to the Wall Street Journal, SPACs raised $82 billion in the U.S. last year, greater than all of the money previously raised. Mallory Thomas, Partner, Baker Tilly
Mallory has than 10 years of experience specializing in helping companies with business risk management, internal audit and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance. She works with clients in a variety of industries including retail, manufacturing, healthcare, higher education and not-for-profit. Her experience includes internal audit, enterprise risk management, IT, financial and operational risk management and organizational governance and compliance. Mallory is the Vice president/Member Relations Chair for the Twin Cities Institute of Internal Auditors chapter and serves on the FEI Twin Cities Chapter Engagement Committee.

Mike McKee, Baker Tilly
Mike is a partner at Baker Tilly who serves as the firm leader of serves as the firm wide leader of international assurance and of the life sciences and emerging technologies practice. For more than 25 years, he's served public and private fast-paced, entrepreneurial businesses, assisting both domestic and international companies in a variety of industries including manufacturing, distribution, life sciences, software and technology. Mike is an active member of FEI Twin Cities Chapter and sits on New Member Committee.

Alan is a Vice President at PNC Capital Markets, LLC. Alan has 12 years of banking experience in providing all sizes of corporate customers with the capital they need to grow, including roles in Credit Underwriting, Equipment Finance Syndications, and Loan Syndications Originations/Structuring. Alan has an undergraduate degree in Accounting from Washington & Jefferson College and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, and he is a CFA charter holder.

John Kim, Director, BDO Capital Advisors, LLC
Mr. Kim has more than 16 years of middle market investment banking and corporate finance experience covering numerous industries. Mr. Kim has originated and executed M&A transactions as well as debt capital market transactions for energy, industrial, media and technology companies. He advises clients on sell-side M&A and debt financing transactions to facilitate strategic, growth, acquisition and/or liquidity objectives. Mr. Kim has also completed cross-border, leveraged buy-out, leveraged recapitalization, dividend recapitalization and debt private placement transactions on behalf of his clients.

Steve McCullough, BDO
Steve is a Tax Partner at BDO and leads the Transaction Advisory Services tax practice in the Central Region. He serves large multi-nationals, middle  market companies, and private equity investors, who have been  parties to numerous cross-border and domestic transactions. He advises his clients on due diligence, mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and restructurings. He has served clients in various industries, primarily focusing on the Consumer & Industrial Products industry and the Healthcare & Life Sciences industry. Prior to joining BDO in 2016, Steve was a member of Deloitte's  M&A Transaction Services practice  and Business Tax Services practice  for fourteen  years.

Jackie has over 25 years Human Resources experience in Fortune 100, 500 and Private Equity companies, she has led Human Resources including Internal Communications in four organizations; Marshall Field's/Macy's Northwest, G&K Services, Archway Marketing and Bluestem Brands.  She has experience on both the buyer and seller side of the M&A process.

Joe's primary duties include working with his clients to solve their Property/Casualty and Employee Benefit Insurance issues. His main focus is on middle market private companies, with an emphasis on private equity and M&A transactions, and he has worked in a wide variety of industries over his tax, M&A, and insurance career. Joe serves as a board member on a number of private company businesses, working closely with the management teams on strategic growth and management initiatives. In this role he serves as a strategic advisor on acquisitions, operations, and dispositions of private company (private equity) investments. Prior to joining Hays Companies, Joe worked at Deloitte in the private company tax group serving private equity and real estate funds, real estate developers, manufacturing companies, professional service companies, and private family businesses on their business and individual tax planning.

Nia M. Brown, Corporate and Securities, DLA Piper
Nia focuses her practice on assisting public and private companies and individuals with matters related to representations and warranties insurance and other transactional insurance products. She has represented US and foreign clients in a range of transactional matters, among them acquisitions and dispositions (including mergers, stock and asset transactions and divestitures), cross-border acquisitions, venture capital investments, general corporate and securities matters and public and private securities offerings. Ms. Brown has also assisted clients in the preparation and filing of 1933 Act and 1934 Act documents and proxy materials with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission and related compliance. Ms. Brown began her career at the New York office of an international law firm, where she was a member of the mergers and acquisitions practice group and worked with Fortune 500 companies and other top-tier issuers and acquirers.

David Haigh, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Atlantic Global Risk
David is responsible for management of deal execution and implementing Atlantic’s growth initiatives. David and his team work with leading financial sponsors and strategic clients across a variety of sectors, supporting transactions between $5m and $18bn in enterprise value. David is a thought leader in the M&A insurance space and speaks regularly at industry events about market trends and best practices. Prior to joining Atlantic, David was head of North American transactions for a leading European M&A insurance broker. In his previous role, David supported financial sponsors and corporates on inbound, outbound and intra-North American transactions. David started his career in the Energy Sector, working as a project engineer for Oil & Gas and Defense projects. David holds a master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Durham. In his spare time, David plays rugby for New York Athletic Club and likes to be outdoors skiing, hiking or swimming.
